Ice Plant Hardy The Delosperma 'Hardy Ice Plant'Ö, Delosperma cooperi, is a wonderful ground cover that has single, deep rose to purple blooms. The foliage, said to make this plant a real winner, is deep green, almost succulent looking and extremely shinny. Delosperma has a plant spread of 12-24'¥ and a height of 4'¥. For best results, plant Delosperma 'Hardy Ice Plant'Ö in a sunny area, with some afternoon shade, with well- drained soil. It does prefer dry and sandy soil and does not like wet soil in the winter. Hot conditions keep the flowers blooming most of the summer and it requires little to no care. Delosperma looks great as a ground cover in a rock garden or in front of a perennial border.

With its unique deep purple foliage, fading to bronzy green in hot summers and its dark red stems, makes it a little different than the rest. In the springtime, small pinkish and white flowers appear that last into the summer, however, Coral Bells are not known for their flowers, but their foliage. Palace Purple has a plant spread of 10-15'¥ and a height of 12-18'¥. ) 'Palace Purples'Ö looks especially good around the edge of borders, near variegated plants, woodland edges, rock gardens, perennial borders, or in mass to form an attractive ground cover.
Daylily Mary Todd The Hemerocallis 'Mary Todd'Ö, also known as a Daylilly, has a wonderful bright yellow flower with a green throat. 5'¥. It's award include the Award of Merit and Stout Silver Medal, and one can see why. Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). 'Mary Todd'Ö is considered to be pest and deer resistant. Use for cut flowers, massing, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs.
Dianthus Mountain Mist The Dianthus 'Mountain Mist'Ö, Dianthus gratianopolitanus, is a beautiful smoky pink flower that can be somewhat lacey and fringed. With its grassy blue-gray foliage and profuse blooming time, 'Mountain Mist'Ö is one not to miss. Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity.
Geranium Sanguineum Album 'Sanguineum Album'Ö Geranium needs to be cut back in early summer for repeat bloom time in the fall. 'Sanguineum Album'Ö Geranium, being drought tolerant, needs a full sun area with some shade in the afternoon. For best results, plant in a dry to moist area in a well-drained site. The Geranium family is well known for its stunning fall colors that include reds, oranges, and yellows. It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders, rock gardens, shade gardens or informal borders in mass plantings. There is an attraction to bees and butterflies and it is very disease and deer resistant.
Hosta Francee The lavender flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta'Ös are not known only for their flowers. With a plant height of 18'¥ and a spread of 36-48'¥, Hosta'Ös provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage.
Hosta Variegata The Hosta 'Variegata'Ö, Hosta undulata, has dramatic, narrow, lance-shaped wavy leaves with white centers edged in green, making it very striking. Hosta 'Variegata'Ö needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area.
Hosta Fragrant Bouquet The1998 AHS Hosta of the Year boasts wavy leaves with a creamy edge and apple green in between. With a plant height of 20'¥ and a spread of 32-36'¥, Hosta'Ös provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage.
Iris Ann Chowning Iris 'Ann Chowning'Ö prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate some afternoon shade. This Iris needs plenty of water throughout the season to continue to looks its best. They also make magnificent cut flowers and are resistant to deer.
Sedum Matrona It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and is disease resistant.
Sedum Neon 'Neon' is a great choice for beds and borders and excellent as cut flowers.
